New in AcornPipe 8-735 Odd elbows less than 22.6 deg now get converted to 22.5 deg elbows for inventory purposes. Previously anything less than 45 degrees became a 45 deg elbow. In PCF files, skey WTFL is for now assumed to represent a flanged pipet. In PCD file output, the target machine is now selected for all items. The slope of non-90 degree branches was incorrect in HGG output and in some of the Rotary Tube Pro output. Fixed. When 3D coordinates are generated via Tools/Generate 3D coordinates, a check is also made for loop mismatches. This function now also has a shortcut key, Shift-F9. When importing IDF/PCF files, the file open dialog now opens to the job's Estimate folder. In the surface area calculation, a rarely-occurring negative arm 2 pipe dimension is now avoided. In status view, empty columns have always been hidden by default. But certain columns are never empty, and new users may wonder why some others are missing. Columns 2, and 6-15 are now always shown unless the user hides them individually. This means for example that Chk Date, Status, and InFab date will not be hidden even if they have no entries yet. In Which Drawings To Release? (WDTR), if any of the drawings selected for release have no check date, a dialog asking "Do you want to release them anyway?" is displayed before the change is made. In the weld editor, you can now set the weld Modifier to 2,3,4 etc by entering P2,P3,P4 in the Remark3 field. That allows entry of a separate price for welds with that modifier. Such welds are identified by P2, P3, P4 appended to the weld description. It was sometimes not possible to dimension from an attachment to a lap joint flange. Fixed. In the Edit Specification windows, SGROUP and percent RT can now be edited. When drawing a branch on a cap, nozzles and lateral flanged pipet were inappropriately included in the menu options. Fixed. When drawing a BW valve on the end of a pipe, the weld would not get a schedule. Fixed. The weld type override made available when shift-clicking on a weld now includes a nozzle weld option. Several improvements were made to the Estimate Status window, mainly issues with the Remarks column. New in AcornPipe 8-736: In splitting installation drawings into spools, when a branch location was defined relative to an item that ended up on a different spool, the adjustment to the location dimension was not taking the weld gap into account. Fixed. To test this, draw elbow1-pipe-elbow2, add an olet, locate it relative to elbow2. Then place a breakpoint between the pipe and elbow2, and split into spools. Added AP version No. to the Order More Drawings form. If External.dbf was present, and you tried to save to a control number not listed in External.dbf, it would raise an error related to TPIECEMARK. Fixed. Previously attachment welds were not assigned a preheat size or preheat wall. Attachment welds to pipe or dummy legs are now assigned the preheat size and wall of the header. This means that those parameters now populate in the Xenon report. Saving a fabrication drawing now adds the current job to the list for multi-job reports and marks it as EXCLUDE. This avoids having to re-run "Make list for multi-job reports" Hourglass mousepointer now shows when compiling MJ Status report. Added capability to set max SW/TH size to zero. This helps you draw bent pipe systems with 1/8 inch pipe. Several changes to PCF import for Pillar and Eldeco as follows: Interpret skeys FLNZ and NC1 using an inline transition image. Treat CACL as a synonym for AVCL, similar to an angled valve. Interpret FPSW and FPSC as PBE and TOE nipples, even when listed as OLET. Guard against a zero spec number in PCFs. New in AcornPipe 8-737: In Status window, menu item Tools | Remove Duplicate Control Numbers was added. In PCF imports: For skey DR, Rupture disk, use GS-H, so uses image 1199, gasket/seal. If a FLANGE has skey FL and the word BLIND in the description, make the skey FLBL. and otherwise make it FLFL, which is generic. For instruments and valves with SC type ends, give them a female threaded end image. If you had a threaded joint, later SW joints might not get a weld, e.g. M8-P-C1FA-11405.pcf. Fixed. Treat item type NUT in M4-P-D7SA-11408.pcf as a short inline item using image GS-I. When adding valve handles, ignore the lever direction in "DIRECTION UP LEVER EAST". Added a space between inches and fractions. Applies to dimensions and BOM. New in AcornPipe 8-738: Add "Procedure" as a new column in the individual welder production report. Change array limit from 10 to 20 to allow more choices when generating packing slips. Items modified in a batch process were not being written to SpoolData.dbf. Fixed. Allow switches between Accessory, Fillet, Flare Bevel, and Bevel Welds (KRST) New in AcornPipe 8-739: For the Master Files, made versions of BSL3.AC3 and BSL6.AC3 that contain hole diameter information for 3000# and 6000# half couplings. The hole diameters are based on the published Penn dimensions for OD of the half couplings. In IDFs boltsets are now limited to a maximum of 99 bolts. This avoids an error message with continuation boltset items, where the number is undefined. Example: Priority-21_v400ta02lv0022302s2l0101.idf If a BW branch has no descriptor letters, default to sockolet. For certain keys, add option of a separate miscellaneous items database for each individual job. New in AcornPipe 8-740: Show internal surface area in item information window. For welds on Valve, if you shift-clicked and even just hit OK, it would change the weld modifier from on Valve to on Fitting. Fixed. Change field width for description in weld pricing files (MGSP or not) from 20 char to 30 char. Also widen display of that column. Remove no longer required menu item "Flatten Olets on caps and blinds". In Inventory view, taking off a swage or a nipple would sometimes fail depending on details of entries in the master files. Fixed. When a drawing being saved is missing a branch location dimension, earlier versions would indicate the branch location(s) with two magenta circles and display a message. In version 8-740, the circles are shown without the message. New in AcornPipe 8-741: In BSMaster, if you add a new flanged pipet to the SW/TH branches, and give it a handling character of "M", its description and code will now include its length. And if you change its length via custom fitting dimension, the description and code change accordingly. In PCFs, REPLBW is treated as BBE ecc swage. In PCFs, RCSCBW is treated as threaded large beveled small swage.
